Our groups and workshops are designed to promote the development of children's skills while allowing them to thrive in a social and playful environment.Pifam group
This group will help your children develop behavioral and cognitive self-regulation skills, that is, new ways of thinking and understanding the world. It consists of 12 workshops of 1.5 hours each.
These workshops provide children with skills that will be useful: at school (memorization, concentration), at home, for homework (organization, planning), in daily life, to promote social relationships (impulsivity, respect for others).
The program aims to develop the following skills:
- impulse control
- resistance to distraction
- flexibility and mental imagery
- memorization strategies
- planning ability
- time and thought organization
- self-respect and respect for others
Group for implementing computer tools
This group aims to teach children how to use a computer to enhance their learning. The goal is to learn:
- the keyboard
- typing
- how to use software (Word, PDF editor, ...)
- how to use specific software (Lexibar, Word Q)
- how to transfer documents (USB stick, Airdrop, Dropbox, email, ...)
- how to use various peripherals (mouse, scanner, ...)
- how to organize the desktop by sorting folders and files
- how to manage emails
- how to conduct internet research
Group focused on writing
This is a weekly one-hour group where writing, motor, and cognitive functions related to handwriting will be trained in a small group.
- Strength and stability of the trunk and shoulder muscles
- Dissociation of different arm segments
- Developing the muscles responsible for fine motor control and force gradation on the pencil
- Improving manual dexterity
- Improving pencil grip and control
- Ergonomics for writing
- Learning cursive calligraphy with the ABC BOOM method
- Improving visuospatial skills (directionality of strokes, spatial organization, ...)
- Writing fluency
Social skills group
The Social Skills Group aims to help children develop essential social skills for positive and effective interactions with their peers and adults. The sessions are designed to work on the following aspects:
- Non-Verbal Communication (eye contact, body language...)
- Verbal Communication (adapting tone, communication style, asking questions, expressing ideas...)
- Emotion Recognition in oneself (interoception) and in others
- Self-Regulation
- Turn-Taking (waiting for one's turn, responding appropriately)
- Rule Compliance (understanding and following rules, encouraging others to follow them)
- Making Compromises (negotiation and flexibility)
- Conflict Resolution (emotion management, mediation)
- Collaboration and Teamwork
This weekly one-hour group is intended for children with social difficulties related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), social anxiety, communication disorders, or other similar challenges.
